     Entry Requirements

    This is an Beginner course and is suitable for all learnersYou can find out more about our difficulty levels here.

    You must have a reasonably good internet connection to view our video content (around 400kbps - 2Mbps download speed, 400kbps+ upload speed). In order to attend the online discussion groups, you must be able to use Skype.

     Course Duration

    Course with discussion groups - 6 months Course without discussion groups - 4 months You will have access to all course materials at any time for the duration of your chosen course. This allows you to learn at your own pace and review particular topics as needed.

    At the end of the time period, you will lose access to the course materials.

    Online discussion groups for this course are not yet scheduled. If you are interested in taking the discussion groups, please let us know. Purchasing one of the discussion group options will allow you to attend all of the discussions, as well as getting access to the online course materials for 6 months.

     About the lecturers

    Dr. David Bell is a former president of the British Psychoanalytical Society, serving from 2010 - 2012. Dr. Bell is a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Adult Department at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, where he leads a specialist service (the Fitzjohns Unit) for the treatment of patients with enduring and complex problems. He is also an honorary senior lecturer at University College London.
    Dr. Margot Wadell, PhD  is a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytical Society and Visiting Lecturer at the Tavistock Clinic. She works in private clinical practice and previously worked for many years in the NHS. She holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Cambridge.
