 About the event

This is one day conference hosted at the Institute of Psychoanalysis on the 3rd April 2019. It is suitable for doctors of all backgrounds. The conference aims to show how a psychoanalytic perspective on the Doctor Patient relationship can help clinicians in thinking about the challenges of contemporary psychiatry.

There will be talks from a variety of expert speakers.

 About the lecturers

Ronald Doctor is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychotherapy at West London Mental Health NHS Trust and a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society.


Dr Giovanni Polizzi is a consultant psychiatrist and psychotherapist and a fellow of the Institute of Psychoanalysis.


Dr Carinne Minne is Consultant Psychiatrist in Forensic Psychotherapy at Broadmoor Hospital and a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society.


Kathy Taylor is a Psychoanalyst and Consultant Clinical Psychologist working with adults in private practice and within the NHS. She is a member of the Institute of Psychoanalysis.


Dr Anne Patterson is a Psychoanalyst working in the NHS and a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society.
